16:00 – 17:00 Typical Autonomous Database Architectures – speaker: Andrei Manoliu

Autonomous Database redefines database management ensuring higher reliability, security, and more operational
Would you like to see how this database fits in a real life architecture? Would you like to see examples how others
use this database in their projects?

Andrei Manoliu
I am part of the Oracle Customer Success Team, guiding each customer towards a long-term and sustainable
utilization of Oracle Cloud services.
I started working with the Oracle Database since 9i firstly as a developer, learning Oracle Forms and Reports on the
way. Later I changed the role to being a DBA for most of my career managing 9i, 10g, 11g, and 12c databases. Taking
the step to a presales position or later a post-sales position got me closer to the Oracle Cloud and the database
family services there.
I am one of the first Autonomous Database Certified Experts in Romania.

17:00-18:00 – RMAN – From Beginner to Advanced – speaker: Marcin Przepiórowski

The Oracle Recovery Manager is main tool for backup and recovery of the Oracle database. It is very important for all DBA’s to understand how it’s working and how to resolve problems.
The goal of this presentation is to show that RMAN is a best friend of the DBA and anyone can become a RMAN “hero”

My name is Marcin Przepiorowski. I’m working with Oracle technology stack since 2001. I’m interested in three areas – automation/cloning, high availability (DataGuard, RAC, etc) and performance monitoring and troubleshooting. For last 10 years I’m involved in OUG community and blogger community. I presented on many OUG conferences. I’m a proud member of OakTable and an Oracle ACE.

18:00 – 19:00 – JET another presentation, why oh why? – speaker: Alan Arentsen

Oracle JET is made with JavaScript, it’s not low-code and it looks complicated to use in APEX.
Why is it important to know more about JET? What does it add to APEX that we need it so desperately?
I will point out the importance of JET in APEX and show how you can spice up your app using JET.

Alan Arentsen is an Oracle APEX developer with experience on a wide spectrum. He has done everything between installations and development in PL/SQL and APEX.
Alan has been developing applications in Java, C++, and various scripting tools since 1998. Since he met APEX, his
enthusiasm has grown. Nowadays he also is focussing on Oracle JET.
So far he has presented on the following conferences since 2014: DOAG, APEX World, KScope, SIOUG, OpenWorld,
OUGN, AMIS 25 BEYOND THE HORIZON, UKOUG Tech, Oracle Code, Tech Experience, HROUG, APEX Connect
In June 2017 he was rewarded with the Oracle ACE award.

19:00 – 20:00 “It works, but it hasn’t been tested” – panel discussion cu tema PL/SQL testing; panelists: Jasmin Fluri, Sabine Heimsath, Jacek Gebal, Samuel Nitsche, Philipp Salvisberg
