On 17 July 2018, Romanian Oracle User Group prepared a new event dedicated to Oracle passionate professionals.
This workshop will be focused on Oracle APEX framework on advanced techniques and best practices.

This talk focuses on providing insights & best practices tips for developing applications with Oracle APEX. Application architecture, setting up APEX / ORDS, guidelines for application design, structuring and securing your APEX application, theme choices and how to handle custom code are among the topics that we’ll cover during this session. In addition, we’ll cover live use cases, based on our own experience with developing APEX applications and attendees’ requests.

APEX offers a lot of great features right out of the box, but what if you get a requirement which goes beyond the standard functionality provided by APEX? In this session we’ll explore a couple of these use cases and dive into some advanced techniques that you can use. The topics that we’ll cover include:

The FOEX Plugin Framework is built on top of Oracle APEX leveraging the APEX Plugin Interface. We introduce new features and design patterns, allowing you to build complex single-page applications (SPA) declaratively. Our suite of plugins are primarily built using the Sencha Ext JS JavaScript library which gives you a feature-rich set of components (150+) and a comprehensive API on both the client and the server-side to build enterprise web applications.
This technical session will focus on highlighting the ways in which the FOEX Plugin Framework enhances the functionality of Oracle APEX and we’ll talk about some of the more common use cases: migrating from Oracle Forms, extending the functionality of EBS, desktop applications etc.

Peter Raganitsch is the CEO & co-founder of FOEX GmbH, an Austrian IT company focused on developing plugins and add-ons for Oracle Application Express (APEX).
As an Oracle ACE Director with more than 20 year of experience in working with various Oracle technologies, Peter shares his knowledge through articles, trainings, and webinars. He is an active member of the Oracle APEX community and a frequent speaker at various conferences, such as Kscope, DOAG, UKOUG, APEX Connect, APEX World, SIOUG, and HrOUG. He writes about Oracle APEX on Twitter and on his blog at www.oracle-and-apex.com.
Peter’s technical knowledge and expertise extend to areas including: Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, jQuery, ExtJS, AJAX, Oracle Forms, legacy systems migration, and mobile applications.
The event will take place with support from Metro Systems România at their offices in Bld Pipera – Tunari, nr 4C.
