Event Overview The OTN Virtual Technology Summit is a quarterly event executed globally, targeting Developers, Sysadmins, Architects, and DBAs. Content will include highly technical demonstrations, presentations and Hands-On Labs delivered by Oracle Product experts. Oracle ACEs and Java Champions. Content will be organized into the following areas designated as tracks.
Java: 20 Year Anniversary! Java technologies are celebrating 20 years of innovation and offering you the next generation of application development. Database: Delivering on Big Data Promise and New Generation Application Development Oracle Database 12c delivers market-leading security, high performance, availability and scalability for OLTP, data warehousing and Big Data deployments . The OTN Virtual Technology Summit offers two Database tracks : one focused on Big Data Strategies and the other on the newest capabilities of Oracle’s most popular Application Development tools and technologies including APEX, PL/SQL Tips, node.js and Restful data services. Middleware: Spotlight on Service-Oriented Architecture and Oracle SOA Suite 12c The Middleware Track for the next Oracle Technology Network Virtual Technology Summit puts the spotlight on service-oriented architecture and Oracle SOA Suite 12c. Each of the four deeply technical how-to sessions in this track focuses on a different aspect of Oracle SOA Suite 12c. Other technologies covered in these sessions include Oracle Service Bus, Event Processing, StreamExplorer, WebLogic, API Catalog, API Manager and more.
Operating Systems, Virtualization Technologies, and Hardware: 3 Unique Sessions Oracle ACE – Seth Miller will show you how to use the VirtualBox command-line tools to provision virtual machines much faster. Enterprise Architect – Erik Benner will show you how to migrate from Red Hat Enterprise Linux to Oracle Linux. Oracle Product Manager – Ikroop Dhillon will walk you through some of the latest capabilities of the Oracle Solaris Studio IDE, including those designed to help your application take advantage of the Software In Silicon capabilities of the SPARC 7 chip.
Content Type – Content is prerecorded and delivered within the virtual platform much like a typical Webcast. The program features live moderated chat during the sessions to allow for community interaction. Content ranges from technical demo to in depth Hands on Lab.
